Melamine Faced Board
Turkish melamine-faced chipboard and MDF in more than 100 decors and a dozen surfaces.
Overview
Starwood presses impregnated decor paper onto its own particleboard, MDF and Mega MDF, using eleven press plates for surfaces from plain smooth to Supermat, Derin deep grain and Senkron synchronised wood. The melamine-faced chipboard is certified by TSE to TS EN 14322 on a P2 core, abrasion class 1, formaldehyde class E1. Chipboard comes in 8 to 30 mm; the MDF line adds thin 4–14 mm boards, HDF in 22–30 mm and fire-retardant MDF in 6, 8 and 18 mm. Gloss surfaces are made with or without a protective foil. Colours are chosen from the Starwood e-catalogue.
