European Oak
The joinery oak: durable, stable and handsome in doors and floors.
Overview
European oak has a light to medium brown heartwood with a pronounced grain and silver figure on quarter-sawn faces. It is strong and naturally durable, so it works outdoors as well as in, and it takes oils and lacquers well. Tannins react with iron, so fixings should be stainless or brass.

Supply and install European oak hardwood, kiln dried to 8–12% moisture content, joinery grade, including fabrication, fixing with stainless fasteners and finishing as per approved drawings.
