Overview
Nordic redwood is the traditional joinery softwood: a reddish-brown resinous heartwood with a pale sapwood, straight grain and moderate density. It planes to a good finish, holds paint and stain, and treats easily for exterior use. Slow-grown northern stock has tighter rings and moves less.
