African Mahogany (Khaya)

Light, stable and easy to work, with a classic mahogany colour.

Interior

Overview

Khaya is the most common of the African mahoganies: pinkish to reddish brown, lighter than sapele, with an interlocked grain that gives a subtle ribbon figure. It is easy to machine and glue, stable in service, and moderately durable, so it suits interior doors, panelling, furniture and veneer.
