Hard Maple
Creamy white and very hard. Worktops, floors and cutting boards.
Overview
Hard maple is one of the hardest and most wear-resistant of the common hardwoods, with a creamy white sapwood that is used as the show face and a fine, uniform texture. It resists abrasion and dents, so it is the timber for sports floors, worktops and butcher blocks, and it takes a clear finish well.
